Danforth Bay Current COVID Operating Updates

Updated October 14, 2020

Danforth Bay Camping and RV Resort is open. In response to the current Covid-19 situation, we have implemented the following camping guidelines that are in addition to our already existing rules. Please read carefully and take the time to make sure all members of your family understand these updates. All campers will be required to adhere to guidelines set forth by state and federal officials, CDC and any additional guidelines set forth by Danforth Bay Camping and RV Resort.

  • For the safety of you and others, and per the State of NH guidelines, if any of the registered occupants of your site are sick, not feeling well, or have been exposed to someone who is sick, prior to or at the time of arrival, the entire family will not be allowed to come into the campground.

  • Campers must practice safe social distancing of a minimum of 6 feet, and wear cloth masks covering nose and mouth when in proximity to non-household members. These guidelines, which are subject to change, are in addition to the current Safer at Home order.

  • Campgrounds are open to residents of New England states and non- New England visitors who have met the 14-day quarantine requirement. Day and overnight guests are permitted but must be registered with the office, meet the 14-day quarantine requirement (if necessary) and must not exceed the maximum number of occupants allowed per site.

  • We are currently encouraging campers who have on board bathroom facilities in their camping unit to utilize them whenever possible as only a limited number of bathhouses are open at this time.

  • All reservations must be made in advance of date of arrival, no walk in or off the road reservations allowed.

  • We are taking precautions to minimize physical contact, so we will be performing check-ins through email prior to your arrival or at the check-in window upon arrival. When utilizing the check-in window face masks are required and we ask that only one person per party come to register.

  • Both the reservations and seasonal offices will be closed (but will be staffed), at this time, and may be reached by phone or email during posted office hours.

  • For the safety of your children as well as other guests, children under the age of 18, must be accompanied by an adult whenever they are off their site to ensure social distancing from others.

  • All indoor facilities/gathering areas are closed.

  • Pools are open seasonally (CLOSED AFTER OCTOBER 12). Please work with us in keeping this safe and enjoyable for everyone so that we can continue to keep the pools open.
    • In an effort to ensure all of our campers can enjoy the pool we are asking that you limit your time at the pool to a maximum of two hours per day.
    • Please only enter when it is safe for you to keep a 6’ distance from other parties. Face masks must be worn (covering your nose and mouth) when 6’ social distancing cannot be maintained.
    • For the safety of our campers, all chairs and tables have been removed. You are welcome to bring in your own chairs but they must be removed when you leave the pool area (they cannot be used to save spaces).
    • Chairs must be placed 6’ from other parties.
    • The capacity of the pool areas are limited to the number of parties that can be accommodated while maintaining a distance of 6’ between each party.
    • Pool hours are the same as Store hours.
  • Outdoor facilities such as tennis, volleyball and basketball courts as well as playgrounds are open. Campers using outdoor facilities will be required to practice 6’ social distancing and must wear cloth face masks when in proximity to other non-household members. Campers will need to provide their own equipment.

  • The beaches are open. Groups are limited to a maximum of 10 with at least 6 feet of distance maintained between people at all times. As a reminder, shoreline fishing is not permitted in areas that are designated as swim beaches.

  • The boat house is open seasonally for boat rentals. Payment with a credit/debit card is required at this time. For more details on boat rentals including hours and pricing, please visit: danforthbay.com/hours-and-activity-information

  • The Depot store is open with the following guidelines:
    • Masks are required to be worn in the Depot at all times.
    • Curbside pickup is available. Orders may be placed via email- store@danforthbay.com or by calling (603) 539-2069 Ext. 729. A list of the store inventory can be found by visiting: danforthbay.com/depot-store.
    • There will be a limit of 5 people in the store at one time.
    • Whenever possible please limit store visits to one person per party.
    • Children will not be allowed in the store at this time.
    • Please maintain a distance of 6' between each person.
    • Traffic in the aisles will be one way with directional arrows on the floor to be used as a guide.
    • The exit for the store will be through the Family Room. The Family Room remains closed at this time so we ask that refrain from crossing into the sectioned off area or lingering in the room.
    • The office remains closed to the public. Please call or email during normal hours of operation for assistance.
    • Store hours will match The Depot office hours.
  • Limited scheduled activities and entertainment will be scheduled this summer and please visit our Weekly Activities calendar for the latest updates. Also, as you enjoy your own ways of having fun with your family and friends, we invite you to participate in our Four Seasons Of Fun summer photo contest.

  • Laundry facilities: The Depot laundry room will be open, with limited hours. At this time the laundry is not open to the public. Laundry will be cleaned daily, but we recommend bringing your own cleaning supplies, and disinfecting all touch surfaces before and after use. Social distancing must be practiced, so we ask all campers to wait outside of the laundry rooms while laundry is running so others may begin use. Please be prompt in removing your own laundry when done. Do not remove other people’s laundry from any machine.

  • Due to the limited hours of operation for the laundry room, the AED is located in the white wooden shed located outside of the Depot.

  • Golf cart rentals are available. Please call reservations for more details.

  • Please refrain from having any packages or mail delivered to the campground.

  • Wi-Fi:  Please understand we will not be able to guarantee consistent Wi-Fi services.  Demand on our system at this time will be overwhelming and could slow connections or create other substantial issues.

We realize this is not the camping environment we are all used to. Please be patient and considerate of each other, as we are all concerned during these very uncertain times. We are hopeful these safety precautions will be temporary, and we will continue to progress in a positive direction.

With gratitude,
The Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort Team
