Q: Are the bathhouses heated?

A: Yes, three radiant-heated bathhouses with full shower facilities are available.

 
Q: Are there amenities available in the winter?

A: We do have our family room and game room available as well as a full kitchen for our winter campers. All sites at Danforth Bay in the winter time include electric, water, sewer hookups, expanded cable TV and WiFi access.

Also, just minutes from King Pine Ski Area, Danforth Bay winter guests can really get out and experience everything winter has to offer. Guests can ski or snowboard on King Pine's 17 trails, explore 22 km of Nordic ski trails, skate in a covered ice rink, scream down snow chutes at King Pine's tubing park, snowshoe throughout a NH Audubon Sanctuary, or take a horse-drawn sleigh ride through pastures and fields-- all at King Pine and Purity Spring Resort.

Q: Are there places for me to snowshoe?

A: Yes! We rent a limited supply of snowshoes in the office for your recreational use. Snowshoe up Mount Mary or through the Freedom Town Forest located right next door to us. Please stop by the Depot for directions and trail maps.

Q: Can I access the snowmobile trails right from my site?

A: Yes. Danforth Bay is connected to New Hampshire's statewide trail network, and riders can access more than 6,800 miles of trails, right from their back door, including “Corridor 19”.

 

Q: Do you plow the campground?

A: Yes, we keep most of the roads open and a parking spot per campsite.

Q: Do you rent the cabins in the winter?

A: Yes. We have 7 cabins available for winter rental. With kitchenettes, WiFi, cable hook-ups and private baths, these cabins can be your home away from home, whatever the season.

Q: Is the store open through the winter?

A: Yes with limited hours and limited supplies.

Q: Is there ice fishing at Danforth Bay?

A: Yes. Danforth Bay is a great place to bring your family ice fishing because you can catch bass, fish and crappie!

Q: What are the laundry hours?

A: Laundry is open 24 hours.

Q: Will we be able to use the sewer at our site?

A: Yes.

Q: Will we have water at our site?

A: Yes. We have frost-free hydrants; you will not be able to stay hooked up. Hook up, fill, un-hook.
