Rain or shine, Danforth Bay offers a comprehensive recreation program for all ages. From weeklong festivals and theme weekends to entertainment and plain ol' fun and games, our calendar certainly has something for everyone.

If you prefer fun on your own, our 2 large heated pools and 1 kiddie pool with slide are to keep the entire family busy. Mary's Mountain is a short hike away and offers panoramic views to the east of Green Mountain and Ossipee Lake. Miles of dirt roads surround the Resort, and are great for mountain biking.When it rains, our clean, modern facilities provide indoor space for fun. Kids can enjoy arcade games, ping pong, air hockey and wide-open space for activities when the weather doesn't cooperate. Adults can relax in our quiet Pascoe Study, which overlooks the waterfront. As always, our snack bar, fully-stocked camp store and laundry facilities are open and ready for guests to visit.

A Natural PlaygroundCovering 185 forested acres and a full half-mile of lake frontage, Danforth Bay Camping Resort is truly a natural playground. Its 300+ campsites are spread among lush forest, secluded knolls and meandering brooks, as well as manicured open fields and expansive beaches.Quiet Danforth Bay is perfect for watersports like fishing, swimming, kayaking and canoeing. In fact, a quick paddle around the corner will lead you to Huckins Pond, a stunningly beautiful natural area with beaver, waterfowl, wildflowers, an abundance of songbirds and other wildlife. Boats, canoes and kayaks are all available for Danforth Bay guests to rent.

Danforth Bay also offers access to Ossipee Lake, one of the most popular lakes in our region, excellent for waterskiing, tubing and pleasure-boating.

 

NH's Lakes and Mountains

From sprawling Ossipee Lake to towering Mount Washington, our region is one of the most picturesque, diverse and entertaining areas in New England. Danforth Bay Camping Resort is just short drive from North Conway, the hub of activity in the Mt. Washington Valley. North Conway is known for its outstanding outlet shopping, fantastic dining and fun, family attractions.

Danforth Bay guests can visit the Conway Scenic Railroad and travel north through Crawford Notch. Families can visit Story Land, a longtime Valley favorite. For the adventurous, Attitash's alpine slides will thrill you-- and there's great views from the top. Golfers will love the variety of courses in the area, with more than a dozen within a short driving distance.

Above it all stands 6,288-foot Mount Washington, the highest point in the northeastern United States. Known as the "home of the world's worst weather", Mt. Washington's Auto Road, Cog Railway and mountaintop weather observatory are great destinations all summer long.
