SPRING 2011 WEEKENDS


May 6-8: Opening Weekend / Mother's Day
Moms can celebrate with a little pampering from our specialists; have your nails done, perhaps a pedicure or a chair massage. Kids and dads can celebrate Mom by making her a special gift at arts and crafts and spend some quality time together on a Mt. Mary family hike. Free coffee and flowers for Moms at the Depot on Sunday.

May 13-15: Camper Appreciation Weekend
We appreciate our dedicated campers and would like to extend an invitation for you to invite your friends to experience what you love about Danforth Bay. Reserve one site and get a free site for a friend!

May 20-22: Military Appreciation Weekend
We would like to thank all of those who have served our country and to show our appreciation we are offering this free weekend to past and present Military. Simply show your Military I.D. and stay with us for free!

May 27-30: Memorial Day Weekend
Join us for three days of good old American fun with patriotic tie-dye t-shirts, a family softball game, arts and crafts, wagon rides and more. The pool’s open and heated for swimming; plus live entertainment!

June 3-5: Birthday Weekend
This weekend we will be celebrating everyone’s birthday! Join us for resort wide cake and ice cream as well as party games.

June 10-12: Scrapbooking Weekend
Vendors and workshops highlight this weekend dedicated to scrapbook enthusiasts or the novice looking to get started. This is a great way to get caught up on those projects or make a dent in a new one. Bring your friends and photos and get started!


SUMMER 2011 WEEKS


June 18-24: Father’s Day / Survivor Week
Kick off the summer season with our famous pool party on Sunday. Be sure to bring dad along when you test your skills at our Survivor week challenges.

June 25-July 1: Death by Chocolate Week
Chocolate lovers rejoice! We have dedicated an entire week to chocolate. Join us for events, activities and crafts involving the use of chocolate.

July 2-8: 4th of July Celebration
Celebrate the 4th of July with our 11th annual parade, wagon rides, patriotic arts and crafts, tie-dye t-shirts, live entertainment, swimming and boating, and much more family fun. Check out the local fireworks!

July 9-15: Pirate Week
Come to “arrrgh” outdoor pirate movie, search for hidden treasure, and participate in swashbuckling water games.

July 16-22: Wet 'n Wild Week
It’s all about water this week with canoe and kayak games and trips. We will have pool games, (celebrity) dunk tank with surprise guests, and much more. You can participate in our famous cannonball contest or just watch the splash!

July 23-29: Winter Wonderland
During this week, we will transform Danforth Bay into a Winter Wonderland. Joins us for snowball fights and many other “cool” activities!

July 30- August 5: Hawaiian Week
Aloha! This week calls for Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts. Join us for a bonfire beach party, sand castle making and live entertainment.

August 6-12: Danforth Bay's Got Talent
Everyone loves the popular TV show, well here’s your chance to get in on the action. We’ll put on our own contest using our Karaoke technology.

August 13-19: Mighty Jungle Week
Danforth Bay has gone Ape! Join us for a “swinging” good time. Check out the Rainforest Reptiles and don’t forget to practice your Tarzan call!

August 20-26: Around the World in 7 Days
Join us as we take a journey around the world in 7 days. Learn about different cultures by participating in our various activities throughout the week.

August 27-September 1: Final Fling Week
Come join us as summer comes to an end. We’ll be offering our favorite activities and pulling out all the stops for the last week of summer. You’ll enjoy lots of fun activities including great live entertainment.

September 2-5: Labor Day Weekend
Spend the long weekend making the most of summer. We’ll have live entertainment, an outdoor drive-in movie, and a weekend full of great activities.


FALL 2011 WEEKENDS


September 9-11: Wizards Weekend
Danforth Bay will cast its spell upon you for a fun filled magical weekend!

September 16-18: Murder Mystery Weekend
Join us for this brand new weekend! Help us solve the mystery of “who done it” with a live dinner performance from M & M Productions. Sign up early for this one, space is limited!

September 23-25: Firefighters’ Appreciation Weekend
Come be a part of our 7th annual event to celebrate firefighters. Complete with firefighter’s Muster, site-decorating contest, it’s a weekend filled with the spirit and camaraderie firefighters are known for.

September 30-October 2: Relaxation Weekend
This is a weekend of relaxation and peace. Take part in a tranquil kayak trip, have a massage, take a swim in our heated pool or just lounge around and enjoy the solitude of camping.

Don't Miss Our Great Local Fairs!

Fryeburg Fair (Oct. 2-9, 2011) "Maine's Blue Ribbon Classic," is northern New England's largest Agricultural Fair and is just 1/2 hour away.

New Hampshire's Sandwich Fair (Oct. 8-10, 2011) features games, rides, and lots of family activities

October 7-10: Colum "Boos" Day Weekend / Early Halloween
Our annual Halloween party is always a huge hit! We’ve got resort-wide trick-or-treating, a costume competition, site-decorating contest, and live entertainment! And don’t miss our great local fairs! Our heated pools will close following this weekend.

October 14-16: 7th Annual RV Show / Pumpkin Patch Weekend
Come check out the latest in campers and park models on display by local dealers. Join us for a pumpkin carving party. Bring your own pumpkin or buy one from us. On Saturday night, we’ll light up all the jack-o-lanterns and award prizes.

October 21-23: Take a Hike Weekend
We’ll do a hike right from the campground or use DBCR as your base to hike the many local hills and mountains.

October 28-30: Trick or Treat Weekend
Why not come and be among the hearty campers that enjoy this transitional time of year. We’ll have trick or treating on Saturday night too.
