Swimming & Fishing

Whether you'd like to be like a fish or try your luck at catching some, Danforth Bay has plenty of opportunities for you. We have 2 large heated pools, 1 kiddie pool with slides, 2 sandy beaches and 2,700 ft. of lake frontage on Danforth Bay.

Swimming Pools

Danforth Bay offers its guests three swimming pools, all located adjacent to the Depot. One pool is 35’ x 70’, with depths ranging from 2 1/2 feet to 5 feet. Our kiddie pool is roughly 20’ x 30’, ranging in depth from 12” to 18” and offers a two-lane slide for youngsters. Our third pool is a 65’ x 72’ multi-sport pool, with lap lanes, volleyball net and a jetted area for relaxation. Our two largest pools are heated, and one is heated from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. See our weekly activities page for hours.

Beaches

Danforth Bay Campground has half a mile of lake front property, with 2 sandy beaches along the bay great for swimming and lakeside fun.

Fishing

Wake the kids, grab your gear and a cup of coffee... and head out for a morning of fishing on Danforth Bay!

You’ll find plenty of trout and small mouth bass to wrestle with - and enough horn pout, yellow perch and sunfish to keep the little ones smiling! 

Please fish away from docks, swim areas and beaches.

Danforth has live bait available and fishing gear for sale in the Depot Store. 

NH licenses for those 16 years of age and over can be purchased online or at the Freedom Village Store.
