Facilities & Amenities at Danforth Bay

Covering 185 forested acres and a full half-mile of lake frontage, Danforth Bay Camping Resort is truly a natural playground. Our 300+ campsites are spread among lush forest, secluded knolls and meandering brooks, as well as manicured open fields and expansive beaches.

We invite you to take advantage of all that Danforth Bay has to offer including: 2 sandy beaches, 2 large heated pools and 1 kiddie pool, WiFi internet hot spots throughout the resort, 9 spotless bath-houses, an extensive recreation program, snack bar, camp store and so much more!

Recreation & Leisure Buildings

Arts and Crafts Area
When weather permits, arts and crafts take place below the Pascoe Study.  Follow the path between the Lakeside building and the Merrymeeting bath house towards the lake.

Depot
Danforth Bay campers begin their visit by checking in at our main office at The Depot. There you'll find a full-service camp store with snacks, supplies and Danforth Bay gifts. Our laundry facility, game room and a family room are also found in this building, situated right next to the spacious heated swimming pools.

Lakeside Room
Located next to the Merrymeeting bath house, this large recreation room holds several ping-pong tables and is often used for activities during inclement weather.

Pascoe Study (Adults only please)
With a beautiful view of Danforth Bay, the Pascoe Study is comfortably furnished and ready for adults to enjoy. Make yourself at home and relax in this lovely setting and help yourself to the lending library. Laptop users will find a cable LAN connection to our cable modem and a strong WiFi signal as well.

Pavilion
The Pavilion is a 3,000 square foot recreation room with stage and houses bath facilities for our guests.  In season, this building is used for weekly entertainment, special events, teen activities and rainy day programs, and is conveniently located next to the Safari Field and basketball court.

Snack Shack
Open daily in season serving a variety of food, from burgers to sandwiches, fried dough and ice cream.

Memorial Day Weekend hours: Friday 3-8pm, Saturday & Sunday 12-8pm

Recreation Areas

Archery
The archery facilities are located adjacent to the Depot.

Ball Field
The ball field is located at the end of Winnipesaukee Way. It is used for a wide variety of planned recreational activities and is available for pick up games as well. The nicely manicured ball field features a softball diamond and backstop.

Basketball Court
Shoot hoops at our basketball court, located next to the Pavilion. Basketballs can be signed out with recreation staff or at the Depot.

Boat Rentals
Boat rentals are available at the Brookside Beach. Boats include kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, row boats and motorized boats.

Boating Information
With its four connecting bays, Ossipee Lake is the perfect place for guests to go pleasure-boating. Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort has a boat ramp on the property which provides easy in-and-out access. In addition to Ossipee Lake, popular Lake Winnipesaukee and Maine’s Sebago Lake are both short drives away.

The state of New Hampshire requires safe boating certificates for all operators of power boats with greater than 25 horsepower. Please review our boating regulations. Danforth Bay does not allow jet-powered watercraft in the park.

Playgrounds
There are 4 playgrounds located all around the resort.

Swimming Pools
Danforth Bay offers its guests 3 swimming pools, all located adjacent to the Depot. One pool is 35’ x 70’, with depths ranging from 2 1/2 feet to 5 feet. Our kiddie pool is roughly 20’ x 30’, ranging in depth from 12” to 18” and offers a two-lane slide for youngsters. Our third pool is a 65’ x 72’ multi-sport pool, with lap lanes, volleyball net and a jetted area for relaxation. Please inquire at the Depot for updated hours. Our two largest pools are heated, and one is heated from Memorial Day through Columbus Day.

Tennis & Volleyball Courts
There are 3 tennis courts and 3 volleyball courts, all located beyond the Depot on Shawtown Road. The courts are available from dawn to dusk. Racquets and balls can be signed out at The Depot.

Cable TV
Expanded cable TV access is included in your site rate and is available at each site.

Firewood
Danforth Bay has joined forces with the Don't Move Firewood project with a goal of protecting the trees and forests of New England by stopping the transportation of invasive insects and diseases in firewood. Please do not bring firewood with you and buy local instead. Danforth Bay has heat-treated and insect-free firewood available to purchase by the bundle. If you wish to purchase larger quatities of firewood, please inquire at the Depot for a list of local suppliers who can drop firewood off directly at your site.

Propane Fill Station
Danforth Bay has an on-site fill station, where tanks and bulk can be filled. In season, tanks are filled three times during the day.

Wireless & Modem Access
WiFi is offered as a free service to our guests and is available throughout the park. Due to the hilly, wooded nature of the resort, it is impossible to transmit a signal to the entire park. While we cannot guarantee your site will have a wireless signal, we do have a number of locations where you can plug-in for a solid connection. The Pascoe Room and Depot lounge have LAN access points.
